Our exclusive Fibrex® material is a one-of-a-kind blend of wood fibers and thermoplastic polymers. It’s designed to resist rusting, flaking, blistering, peeling, cracking and corroding.
A unique fabrication process blends the color with the Fibrex material during production for long-lasting beauty. In today’s post, Renewal by Andersen® of Northwest Ohio shares Fibrex interior and exterior color options for windows and patio doors.
Window and Patio Door Color Options
Fibrex blocks thermal transfer around 700 times better than aluminum. This means your heating and cooling system doesn’t need to work as hard to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, providing you with savings on energy bills. It’s two times stronger than vinyl and stays efficient in all climates. The material is guaranteed not to crack, decay, rot, peel, blister and corrode.
Andersen® replacement windows are available in solid interior colors, including white, canvas, sandstone, Terratone®, dark bronze and black. You can also choose from real wood, such as pine, oak, and maple. Meanwhile, the exterior color options include white, canvas, sandstone, Terratone, cocoa bean, bark bronze, forest green, red rock and black.
The interior colors for patio doors that we offer include white, canvas, sandstone, Terratone, pine, oak and maple. For the patio door exterior colors, we have white, canvas, sandstone and Terratone.
Painting & Staining Your Windows
Our Fibrex material doesn’t require painting or refinishing throughout the lifetime of your windows and doors. However, we do understand that after some time, you may wish to change their color. Keep in mind that we will not have any responsibility for damage to the products caused by staining or finishing.
When preparing the surface, don’t let sandpaper or steel wool touch the glass surface because this may damage the Low-E4® glass. Don’t paint the weatherstrip, gaskets, factory-applied exterior silicone bead, jamb liners or any areas where the siding touches another surface.
Don’t paint over cocoa bean, black, forest green, red rock and dark bronze finishes. Allow the painted surface to dry completely before letting it touch another surface to prevent impaired window operation.
