One of the reasons why they’re so popular, apart from adding better ventilation and daylighting, is how simple they are to clean.

Cleaning the Glass
Cleaning the glass part of your casement windows is actually simple to do since, unlike other windows, you have full access to both of the panes. Start by pouring your preferred cleaning solution into a bucket. You can use warm soapy water for this or a stronger solution for stains.
Dunk your sponge in the bucket, and smear the solution across the entire glass surface of the window. For the frame, you’ll want to use a non-abrasive cloth so that you don’t unintentionally scratch it.
Skim the Glass
After you’ve applied the first “layer” on the glass, you’ll want to work from top to bottom and draw the sponge across the window. The goal here is to skim the cleaning solution and dirt from the glass. Once you reach the bottom part, you’ll want to curve the sponge downward so it gets at the edge of the glass.
After each pass, you’ll want to use a clean cloth to wash off the sponge. A dry sponge doesn’t drop much, and, after your second and third pass on the glass, you’ll be cleaning the solution off the surface instead of applying it. Do this on both sides of the glass, taking care when you clean the frames.
Once you’re satisfied with how the window looks, you simply need to wipe the glass and window frame dry with a non-abrasive cloth.
